Title: Hybrasil 003: Manhattan Project
The prolific Hybrasil is back with another EP on his own label. The Irish producer has served up plenty of techno heat recently and this new two tracker is another winner on his early but so far on point imprint!
Having just come out of a hectic summer seeing him grace the decks at both of Carl Cox’s sell out shows at Privilege, as well as Sasha’s and Digweed’s Ultra Resistance shows! He has followed this up recently with gigs at Cafe Del Mar and Boxed Off festival, and this man’s work rate is undisputed. His latest EP demonstrates his knowledge and prowess in the studio also!
Oppenheimer is a frazzled main room roller with nerve jangling chords dangling above forceful drums. Clever breakdowns build tension, and when the thing lands again it is sure to blow floors away. Manhattan is then a more house leaning roller with airy drums and hi hats. It’s deep and stripped back but makes for a hypnotic atmosphere that will carry you away.
These tracks show another side to Hybrasil and one that is as impressive as always.
