Official Rekids Press Release:
Irish live act and producer Hybrasil builds on a big 2018 with a fantastic debut on the mighty Rekids entitled ‘Afra’.
Hybrasil has put out plenty of techno tracks that have topped Beatport charts. He’s released on Octopus Records, his own self-titled label and Break New Soil, as well as playing Amnesia Terrace and Privilege Ibiza. He is a new school techno talent of the highest order. ”
Slick opener ‘Afra’ is the sort of lively techno cut that gets the floor marching to its beat before erupting with big synth stabs that look to the heavens. The Millsian ‘Source Vibration’ pairs things back to flat footed, forward driving kicks and molten synths that ripple over the drums. As intensity builds, the synths grow ever more wild to ensure plenty of big moments in the club.
‘Pallas Athena & Aeoleusc’ continues to pair monstrous drum programming with uplifting chord work that is simple yet hugely effective. Rising up through the shadows, the glistening pads bring colour and future soul to the track, before last of all, ‘Bishop’ flips the script with some funkier drum programming that gets you on your toes as dubbier chords flesh out the grooves.
