It was April 2009, I was coming to the end of my first year studying ‘Sound and Music Technology’ and I was also in my first year working for Ireland’s national broadcaster as a radio presenter.
Robert Hood was rereleasing his groundbreaking album ‘Minimal Nation’ and I managed to secure an interview to discuss the album and his philosophy on minimalism. For me at that time it was a massive coup, I was writing a thesis on Detroit / Minimal Techno and Minimal Nation was hugely influential for me.
The original interview aired on Ceoltronic Radio on RTE in 2009.
Some unreal soundbytes in there to drop in thoughtful moments of a really deep set 🙂
