We are excited to share the sound of the Hybrasil909. This Sample Pack Contains over 850 royalty-free one-shots, making it one of the most comprehensive analogue drum machine Sample Packs on the market.

The Machine

The 909 has played a key role in Hybrasil’s studio work and live performances. First introduced in 1983. At launch, the machine was limited to 10,000 units which makes it one of the most sought-after rhythm boxes of the modern era.

The Recording Process

These instruments were carefully recorded using Universal Audio analogue modeled tube preamps and processed through the famed Hybrasil channel strip; commonly used on Hybrasil productions and in his HBL mixing work.

Artist Comments “I have been working with this machine since 2016. Since then a lot of work has gone into servicing, maintaining, modifying and customising this unit. There are pitch mods on the Hi-hats and the Rim shot (which makes it sound kind of like an 808 rim shot). The step sequencer is bolted to the front which makes it super reliable for finger drumming. With these modifications it is one of the only 909 drum machines of its type.” - Hybrasil
