HYBRASIL013: BLUE BOOK

Next on the agenda for Irish live act Hybrasil is a mysterious two tracker that goes by the name of “Blue Book”. The Elevator Program founder is certainly no stranger to otherworldly strains of discerning techno, and delivers just that on the thirteenth release on his onymous label. Dark and pumping energy for the peak hours of the night.

Steering you immediately down a pacey path of curiosity is title track, “Blue Book”, a thunderous kick converses with the rippling synths that continue to evolve throughout, and crisp hi-hats creating the energy to move the room. Throbbing rave tones immediately greet you in “Grounded” pulsating as the track develops into an enormous and chugging trip, showing grit and tenacity for trained ears only.

Heads down and stomp your way through Hybrasil’s industrial expressions on this fine body of work.It is no surprise that Hybrasil continues to deliver techno of the highest order with his vast knowledge and experience, and most notably his undying passion for straining the boundaries of the genre, which he now shares and passes on to his students within his Elevator Program ecosystem.Production NotesThe Hybrasil label is a 360 production project, all writing, recording, mixing and mastering was conducted by Hybrasil at HBL Studios.

The process of recording and producing the EP utilised a hybrid of digital and analogue technology, fusing the live sequencing/recording possibilities of digital audio workstations such as Ableton live with vintage analogue machines such as the Roland TR-909 drum Machine, Roland SH-09 synth, Roland SH-101, Moog Voyager and the Roland Jupiter 6.
